A search through newspapers revealed that Panton & White, Co. was located in Duluth, Minnesota. This particular doll was one of 5,000 given away on Thursday, December 6, 1906, to any man or woman willing to stand in line to receive one.

The advertisement also reveals that each doll came in her own box. I wonder if all the dolls were identical? Could the box have had a name for the doll on it, or would it have been printed with advertising for Panton & White, Co.?
